General description
The Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) is one of the leading and most dynamic universities in Germany and is one of eleven German ‘Universities of Excellence’, which have received funding within the framework of the Excellence Strategy of the Federal and State Governments since 1 November 2019. In recognition of TUD’s application orientation in teaching and research, leading companies have honoured the university with currently fourteen endowed chairs. Currently, TUD ranks fifth among German universities in terms of the number of Horizon 2020 projects
