Global Change Research Institute
General description
The Global Change Research Institute is the largest research institution within the Czech Republic focused on the analysis of climate change impacts and especially the development proper adaptation and mitigation measures. The institute has been established as part of Academy of Sciences and is an official Centre of excellence in research areas related to the climate change. The institute employs over 300 researchers with over 200 FTE. Its excellence is based on the combination of 17 multidisciplinary teams that cover 5 main research domains. The institute achieves very high rankings in international evaluation panel comparisons and ranks as the leading research institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in the Field of Natural and Life Sciences.
